a common question

Native Arab or Russian-speaking ustaza?

At Al-Wasiya you can choose either option.

With a native Arab teacher

Pros
  • Real spoken Arabic from the very first minute
  • The language barrier breaks quickly
  • Within 3–4 weeks you start thinking in Arabic
Challenges
  • Asking questions can be hard at first
  • Requires more patience — the teacher doesn’t speak Russian

With a Russian-speaking ustaza

Pros
  • Everything is clear from the first lessons
  • Comfortable and calm for beginners
  • Ask questions in Russian, stress-free

read the Quran in two months

Today you don’t know a single Arabic letter — in two months you’ll be reading the Quran on your own: slowly at first, but by yourself, in sha Allah. A beginner level from absolute zero, no preparation needed.

Frequently asked questions

I can’t read Arabic. Where do I start?
With the Alphabet & Tajweed course — about two months, from absolute zero. Or go straight into an Arabic programme with a Russian-speaking ustaza.
Which Arabic programme should I choose?
Bayna Yadayk — conversation for beginners. Madinah course — in-depth grammar. Ibn Saud — Arabic through Islam: Quran, hadith, fiqh, aqeedah.
What are lessons with a native Arab teacher like?
Online on Zoom, entirely in Arabic with no translator. Teachers work through dialogues, explain words with pictures and examples, and build speaking, reading, writing and listening.
Do I need to buy textbooks?
No, we provide all materials. Workbooks are for personal use only.
What if I miss a lesson?
Arabic lessons are recorded so you can catch up. But attending live speeds up your progress a lot.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes — after every level there’s an oral and written exam and a personal certificate.
I’ve studied before. Can I skip the beginning?
Yes, ongoing groups accept new students at any level. Message our manager and we’ll assess your level.
